Derek and I like to say goodbye to the passing year / hello to the new year with dedicated activities.  In years past we have visited the zoo, aquarium, one of our city's beautiful parks, and museums.  This year we decided to take the kids and pups on a nearby hike.  We have every intention on raising our boys as outdoor kids, rain or shine, winter or summer.  And now that they are both at the age where we don't have to tote them on our backs in hiking packs we knew it was time for a family hike.  The boys and I have done small, 1/2-ish mile hikes, however this was the longest for both of them.  They did great!  Linc even proclaimed, "Hiking is my most favorite activity!"  Happy New Year, lovely people.
